On arrival in Istanbul you and anyone travelling with you will be met at the airport by one of our drivers, taken to your chosen accommodation to check in and be helped to settle in.

The following morning you will be collected from your accommodation and, if you have not recently had one, taken for a PET-CT scan to accurately image the extent of the cancer before being brought to the clinic for your initial evaluation by one of our doctors. Your treatment will then usually start on the following morning according to your personalised treatment plan and continue daily (except Sundays) until you leave Istanbul.

Most international patients choose to travel between their home countries and Turkey on a regular basis in order to allow them to continue to live as normal a life as possible, often spending half their time in Istanbul and half their time at home. However, for patients coming from further away this may not be practical and they may decide to move to Istanbul for the duration of their treatment.

While in Istanbul you will be monitored daily by one of or oncologists and one of our doctors will be on call at all times.

We will also do everything possible to make your stay in our beautiful city as pleasant and easy as possible. Those who have been to Istanbul before will know that it is a vibrant, dynamic city with amazing people and every comfort and convenience but for those who have not we recognize that coming to a strange city in a new country can at first appear daunting and our staff will be on hand to assist you with all aspects of your stay.

You can hear our patients talking about their experiences on our patient stories page.
