Dr. Ayshe Slocum M.D., who is originally from the United States, grew up in Istanbul, Turkey. Dr. Slocum completed her medical training in Istanbul at Marmara University, School of Medicine – the first modern medical school established in the history of Turkey.
Since her youth, Dr. Slocum has had an interest in cancer as a disease and in helping patients suffering from this illness. Currently, Dr. Slocum is working with Assistant Professor Mehmet Salih İyikesici M.D. and Professor F. Bulent Berkarda M.D. on the development and application of conventional as well as innovative treatment modalities in the field of oncology. At present, her work is largely focused on research in these fields. Dr. Slocum is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Society of IPT/IPTLD.
